Troubleshooting 29€-Ticket

Are you having problems ordering the €29 ticket (discount ticket) via MVG? Then you’ve come to the right place. Try out the steps one after the other in order. Normally, step 1 should be enough to solve most errors. Otherwise, the following steps will help you to solve the problem.

Step 1:

Try the order again from scratch using a so-called “incognito tab”.

You can find out how to open an incognito tab here:

Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464?hl=de&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop

Safari: https://support.apple.com/de-de/guide/safari/ibrw1069/mac

(Technical background to this: There is a bug when ordering via the MVG customer portal if you have already logged in to the M-Login in the customer portal before ordering (e.g. via contract management). In this case, the order currently fails. You always have to log in again in the Incognito tab to avoid this error).

Step 2:

Place the order again. This time, check the box “Show data to be transferred” in the university login. Make a copy/screenshot of the transferred data. Check that a Deutschlandticket authorization is transferred for the period in question – e.g. the attribute

“urn:mace:dvb.bayern:entitlement:dticket:timeframe:202410020250331” for the period ‘01.10.2024 – 31.03.2025’. If no suitable attribute is transmitted, please contact your university.

Step 3:

If you find the attribute, you have two options:

1. try the order about 5 times in a row. So far, the order has gone through at some point.

2. contact MVG customer service directly. You can reach them at abocenter@mvg.de. Tell customer service exactly that you have already completed these steps and send them the screenshot from step 2 to avoid any queries.
